Canis Minor offers your dog a fun and enjoyable day away from home in our new daycare facility designed just for dogs less than 25 lbs.

The indoor facility features a specially designed play space with 3/8” rubber floors that are safe, slip-free, and easy on the joints. We have a full range of toys available and play sets designed to ensure a full day of fun and exercise. For relaxation, we have couches and soft pillows where your dog can relax watching television or nap while listening to soft music. Weather permitting, we take our daycare campers outdoors to Newport’s dog park, which provides plenty of space to stretch out those legs. Our friendly and playful staff to ensure that your dog has a fun-filled day lovingly supervises our daycare campers!

Doggy daycare is a service that is designed not only to provide supervision over your dog, but to help exercise, socialize and stimulate him or her during the day when you’re not at home.

Doggie Daycare is designed for those people who love their dogs, but just don’t have the time to exercise, walk, and play with their dogs everyday.

Dogs are very social creatures that, when left alone for long periods of time, can show signs of separation anxiety, boredom, and even depression. These can manifest themselves in any number of ways from whimpering and barking to destructive behaviors like clawing at furniture and doors. Through the interaction with people and other dogs, regular visits to doggy daycare can make for a happier, less bored, and less destructive dog. At the end of each day, your dog will be more relaxed allowing you to cozy up and enjoy some nice quality time with him or her.

Our dogs are divided into supervised playgroups based on activity level and temperament.
