Canis Minor was founded in 2003 with the goal of creating a new concept in retail stores designed to help the small dog owner find the products and services they need in a single place. In addition to our extensive small dog product and service selection, we also stock a wide variety of products for larger dogs and cats including a large selection of premium foods, treats, and litter unsurpassed by smaller boutique stores.

Our Story

We are small dog owners working to help other small dog owners find the products and services they need. We understand how hard it is to find everything for smaller dogs in one place. Disappointed with the selection of products for small dogs found at the big retailers and the limited selection of necessities and services found at the small boutiques, we have set out to create a whole new idea in retail for dogs. A store focused on offering the widest selection of products for small dogs and a full range of services to create THE one-stop shopping destination for the small dog owner.

We designed our stores to be truly “pet-friendly”. Gone are the cluttered aisles, dirty floors, and unhelpful staff of the old notion of the pet store. We have set out to design a place where dogs, cats, and their owners can feel comfortable shopping together by creating a clean, home-like atmosphere and by offering innovative new ideas like our unique pet café.

We feel that we have created a whole new shopping experience through the creation of a totally immersive atmosphere for you and your pet. We hope that you come by and see the difference in the shopping experience we offer and that you leave with a whole new idea of what a pet store can be.

Although we specialize in small dogs, our cat and large dog selection is one of the largest you will find anywhere with over a dozen brands of dog food, cat food, and practically every litter under the sun!
